Article posted: 12 Apr 2011
The first phase of Orega’s Colmore Plaza business centre offering serviced offices in Birmingham is now fully occupied following the signing of recruitment company Idex.
The deal with Idex, which has taken 34 workstations for its new headquarter offices in the Midlands, is the tip of a wave of activity at the business centre this year. As a result, the first phase of 12,500 sq ft is now full, kick-starting a second phase of 7,500 sq ft which is already generating interest.
Idex specialises in recruiting consultants in the insurance, financial services and claims markets and is moving its Midlands base from nearby Temple Row. Established in 2006, it also has offices in Manchester and Bristol.
Other new signings this year include Freedom Recruitment, Branch Martin Spicer Marketing, German insurance company HDI-Gerling, P&C Financial Services and Hington Klarsey.
The business centre is located on the mezzanine floor of Colmore Plaza with a separate reception area and meeting rooms on the ground floor of the 14-storey, Grade ‘A’ office building. The striking glass-fronted property is owned by The Carlyle Group and has a BREEAM excellent rating.
