Packt Publishing makes move into Birmingham city centre

Sub 5,000 sq ft office market in Birmingham continues to be key area of activity

Article posted: 05 Aug 2011

Packt Publishing has taken 3,690 sq ft of office space in Birmingham city centre on part of the 2nd Floor of Livery Place, Livery Street. The publishing company has agreed a ten year lease with landlord Highcross in a move which will allow it to relocate its 35-strong staff from its existing premises into Birmingham city centre.

Rob Perry-Griffiths from Packt Publishing said: “The space, which has been comprehensively refurbished, combined with the building’s city centre location made Livery Place the ideal choice for our move into Birmingham.”

Kelvin Craddock, Senior Surveyor in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Office Agency team in Birmingham, added: “This letting highlights that the sub 5,000 sq ft office market in Birmingham continues to be a key area of activity.  This size bracket made up 77% of city centre office transaction during the first half of the year, with many occupiers taking advantage of current market conditions and moving into the city centre.”

Packt was advised by Jones Lang LaSalle.
