Record breaking summer for LSH's Sheffield office
Estate’s Gazette’s ‘Top National Agent’ advises on relocation of 3 HQ facilities

The disappointing summer weather has done little to dampen the spirits of Lambert Smith Hampton’s Sheffield office, which has witnessed a record breaking few months; having let, sold or acquired in excess of 80,000 sq ft of office space in the South Yorkshire city.
LSH’s Office Agency Team has demonstrated the pivotal role it plays in the region, by advising on the relocation of three HQ facilities, totalling 75,000 sq ft of office space in Sheffield, bringing hundreds of new jobs to the city.
LSH is advising Fulcrum Infrastructure Services as part of their new Business Plan, which has involved the acquisition of a new 20,000 sq ft HQ facility at Sheffield Business Park, creating up to 150 new jobs.
Also at Sheffield Business Park, LSH has recently let 18,000 sq ft to Elliott UK who plan to bring together opportunities from Oxford, Manchester and Sheffield, to a new HQ facility, securing further jobs for the city.
Finally, LSH has sold the iconic Carbrook House, located opposite Meadowhall Retail Park. The 37,000 sq ft former Abbey National Call Centre was sold to South Yorkshire Police to replace their West Bar HQ. South Yorkshire Police plan to refurbish the property ready for occupation early 2012.
Rob Darrington, Head of Office Agency at LSH, said that the transactions were a tremendous achievement, reflecting the quality of the advice given to each client: “The figures demonstrate LSH’s strong market presence and are testament to the team’s hard work and unrelenting commitment to delivering results for our portfolio of local and national clients.”
LSH is no stranger to transacting large volumes of business space. In February this year, the firm was crowned ‘Top National Agent’ for the sixth consecutive year in the Estates Gazette’s annual deals competition. With 27 offices in the UK and Ireland, LSH is headquartered at office space on Oxford Street in Central London.
