Scarborough Group appoint managers for UK office portfolio

Capita Symonds to provide a range of property & facilities management services

Capita Symonds’ Real Estate division has been appointed by The Scarborough Group to provide a range of property and facilities management services across its UK commercial property portfolio.

The portfolio, comprising 45 properties throughout the UK totalling circa 1.5m sq ft, has been earmarked for expansion as Scarborough pursues further investment opportunities as part of its acquisition programme.

Simon McCabe, Director, Scarborough Group International Ltd, says: “With the majority of Scarborough’s UK portfolio, including our recent acquisition of a portfolio of £30m currently managed by Capita Symonds, we are looking forward to growing the relationship with the company as they extend their services across our larger portfolio. Scarborough continues to pursue an ambitious acquisition programme which will provide future opportunities for growth in both our portfolio and our partnership with Capita Symonds.”

The properties under management include office space in Redhill, Surrey at Betchworth House, a business park providing office space in Watford at The Pavillion and three buildings totalling 60,000 sq ft of Grade A office space in Leeds at Thorpe Park, with tenants including Laing O'Rourke, BAM Construction and Valad Management.

In addition the portfolio boasts office space in Belfast at Forsyth House as well as 30,000 sq ft of office space in one of Scotland’s premier business parks at Lomond Court in Stirling.
