Acting on behalf of Standard Life Investments, Lambert Smith Hampton has secured two new tenants at office space in Hemel Hempstead at Grovelands Business Centre, on Boundary Way within the Maylands Business District.
Unit 4 Grovelands, comprising a self contained building of 4,055 sq ft, has been let to long-term Hemel Hempstead occupier, Schroff UK. Schroff is the leading developer and manufacturer of electronic packaging components, and Grovelands will be its new UK head office. Paula Lord, Financial Controller of Schroff UK, commented: “The building gives us the opportunity to retain our identity at Maylands in a quality environment.”
In addition, the first floor of Unit 3 Grovelands, totalling 3,200 sq ft, has been let to Glanville Consulting Engineers. The new occupier provides civil and engineering design and construction services, and is another long-term Hemel occupier. Its relocation to Grovelands will allow the business to benefit from easy access to junction 8 of the M1 and a high ratio of onsite car parking.
Claire Madden, Director in LSH’s St Albans Agency team, added: “This year Grovelands has benefited from two lettings where tenants have recognised the value of quality space situated in the heart of the Maylands Industrial Area, close to other principle businesses. While the economic recovery remains volatile, the relocation of two prominent occupiers is a vote of commercial confidence not only for Grovelands, but for the broader Hemel Hempstead market.”
