Unite sells Covent Garden offices to CapCo

King Street office building purchased by Capital & Counties

Article posted: 30 Aug 2011

Unite the Union has moved out of office space in Covent Garden at 35 King Street, WC2 and sold the freehold of the building to Capital & Counties.

The 17,500 sq ft office building was acquired by Amicus in 2002 and eventually became surplus to requirements following the merger of Amicus and the T & G W Union to form Unite.

The property was acquired before being openly marketed and represents a change of use opportunity to the owners of the Covent Garden Estate.

Hanover Green acted on the purchase.

Unite is headquartered at office space in Midtown on Theobald Road, Holborn, WC1.
